Welcome to the MACUL Community, a place for digital learning, best practice, professional development opportunities and career resources for anyone and everyone in PK-20 education. This certainly is a lofty goal and the MACUL Community will be a fluid, shifting and dynamic place, as we strive to meet that goal!

MACUL is in its 42nd year and we have seen tremendous growth from the nearly 8,000 members a few years ago to almost the 23,000 members today. As many of you know, we are no longer printing our Journal and this rapid growth is at the center of that decision. We were only able to distribute hard copies to one-fourth of our membership and that left us asking some tough questions.

After much discussion and feedback, we decided to create a digital benefit that all our members could access and in doing so we hope to bring together many of our current offerings and platforms.

The MACUL Community will be the home for our MACUL Advocacy resources, SIG (Special Interest Group) content, happenings and events and will feature important MACUL organizational updates. We are hoping this new digital home we allow for easier sharing and recognition of the important work that our members do everyday. We also will begin our spotlight series to showcase our members and their students with a focus on the impact they have everyday. We encourage you to submit your own content or to share the practice changing resources that you have benefitted from in your career.

We encourage you to make checking the site a regular practice, as you can look for articles, research and postings on the fast-paced, ever-changing world that is Educational Technology. We will also continue to build out the site to feature grant opportunities, job postings, product reviews, student competitions, contests, professional awards and training opportunities.

We hope that your New Year gets off to a great start and are looking forward to the MACUL Community being a part of that great start!

On behalf of MACUL, welcome aboard the new MACUL Community!
