Many people take time to recognize February as a month to showcase African American history. This year I was asked a question on African American history by a group of educators. Is there a need to showcase African American history in schools today? I had to stop and think about my answer. Often educators tend to share the same information year after year. Who invented the traffic light?

  • Benjamin Banneker
  • Garrett Morgan
  • Elijah McCoy
  • Albert Richardson

Who developed hundreds of uses for the common peanut?

  • Daniel Hale Williams
  • Daniel McCree
  • George Washington Carver
  • David Fisher

Who pioneered the use of Blood Plasma Banking?

  • Garrett Morgan
  • Dr. Charles Drew
  • Edward Lewis
