Liz Kolb, PhD is a clinical associate professor at the University of Michigan in Education Technology. She teaches preservice teacher education courses on educational technology. Liz is a former secondary social studies teacher and technology coordinator. She is the author of Learning First, Technology Second: The Educator's Guide to Designing Authentic Lessons (2017) and Toys to Tools: Connecting Student Cell Phones to Learning (2008) and Cell Phones in the Classroom (2011). She is the creator of the Triple E Framework for effective teaching with digital technologies, and she blogs at cellphonesinlearning.com.
